Towards the end of my stay in Fiji, I had a couple of days at the Blue Lagoon Beach Resort on Nacula Island in the Yasawas. Although the resort itself had building work going on, the bay, and especially the coral reef were pretty spectacular. Here’s a couple of shots of the sunset across Nacula Bay.
This next one was taken after a 30 minute hike up a mountain. Getting up was fun, getting down in pitch black darkness not so much. Lucky my iPhone has a torch 🙂
This cave was used in the film “The Blue Lagoon”. After swimming around in the first area for a while, we swam through an underwater tunnel to reach another cave, which was pretty scary. The second cave was in complete darkness, with just the torches of the guides to light the way. Cool but terrifying.
Outside the cave of wonders.
These two shots are from the journey back from the Blue Lagoon Cave.
After lunch I went for a snorkel…
…and met this friendly fella…
I finished off a fairly unbeatable day with a film on the beach
The bay at night.
