For our last day in Rome, we went for an alliterative stroll through the park at the Villa Borghese, Piazza del Poppolo, then finished off at the Pantheon. It was a great day, the Villa Borghese grounds are beautiful, with plenty of shade to stop my shiny head from burning, & the view looking across the rooftops of Rome was worth the trip in itself, though spookily reminiscent of Assassin’s Creed.

The Pantheon is one of my favourite buildings in Rome, it’s wondrous enough now, it must have really taken the breath away of people two thousand years ago.

All in all, we had a great few days in Rome, the sheer volume & scale of ancient buildings, & the narrow cobbled streets give it a vibe like no other city, it really feels like you’ve gone somewhere special, rather than just somewhere else.

Lots of great things from a photography point of view, which reminds me I must do a photo tour of London very soon. There’s really no need to keep travelling so far when there’s so much great stuff on my doorstep.
